M-Tac Patch Raven Banner Laser Cut Through
The M-Tac Raven Banner patch is inspired by the legendary war flag of the Vikings. The “Raven Banner” was a black raven depicted on a flag that Scandinavian warriors raised on their ships before heading into raids. The earliest written mention of a raven flag dates back to 878 AD in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle. Just like the later-known “Jolly Roger,” the raven flag would strike fear into anyone who saw it.
Ancient Scandinavians chose the raven for their battle standards for a reason. According to Norse mythology, the supreme god Odin was always accompanied by two ravens — Huginn (“thought”) and Muninn (“memory”). Ravens were considered “beasts of war” and harbingers of death. Vikings believed that if the raven banner fluttered strongly in the wind, it foretold an inevitable victory.
This patch is made using laser-cut technology and attaches easily to any gear with loop backing.
